It is in the heart of Paris Design Week that a novel design brand, d’Armes, will officially be launched in the French capital. The Nedgis showroom, located on Vertbois Street, will be transformed for the occasion into a must-see venue, presenting some exclusive work from the Canadian duo, Alexandre Joncas and Gildas Le Bars.

Design Without Compromise

By incorporating minimalism, elegance and a touch of rebellion, d’Armes' designs exhibit unparalleled uniqueness and an undeniably timeless character. They propose the birth of new classics, which is unheard-of in the world of high-end lighting. Each of their pieces is carefully crafted by hand in the Montreal area of Canada and uses only superior quality materials from select local craftsmen.

The studio prides itself in shaping the light as much as the object itself. Thanks to multidisciplinary expertise and endless imagination, they have continuously managed to enlighten even the most skeptical audiences.

Paris Design Week Exclusives

In order to mark their official launch in France, d’Armes will be presenting a brand-new model of their Cé wall-mounted sconce collection called Cé Petite. This latest version, complete with abridged proportions and just as much charm as its big sister, will premiere at Nedgis’s signature event happening in their showroom on September 10th.

Cé audaciously blends a cascade of fringes with the soft and pure curves of solid bronze. The use of anthropomorphism adds a human touch and evokes a presence in the room, while the fringes contrast their straight lines with the plush atmosphere created by the light they sift. All in all, this forms a fabulously coherent piece worthy of the most impressive spaces on Earth.

The studio will also be presenting exclusive new finishes on some of its signature models. The Hartauseries, with its stunning lines and details, will now be available in chrome or light grey with chrome accents; a combination that beautifully highlights the lightness and finesse of this impressive montage.

The Beginning of a Great Adventure for d’Armes and Nedgis

We have already completed certain architectural projects which have established our brand on European grounds and are now delighted to be officially represented in France by a partner that is equally passionate about design and light. Our creations perfectly emphasize French Elegance and we feel that the market is ready to respond to the freshness we are bringing.” - Alexandre Joncas, Designer and Cofounder, d’Armes
